I’m well aware of the irony.
Book Of The Month
It happens at the start of every November: the Scorpio Races. Riders attempt to keep hold of their water horses long enough to make it to the finish line. Some riders live. Others die.
At age nineteen, Sean Kendrick is the returning champion. He is a young man of few words, and if he has any fears, he keeps them buried deep, where no one else can see them.
Puck Connolly is different. She never meant to ride in the Scorpio Races. But fate hasn’t given her much of a chance. So she enters the competition — the first girl ever to do so. She is in no way prepared for what is going to happen.
I actually haven’t listened to anything by Queen (don’t hurt me). But my friend does and she sent me the following and I liked it.
Rain Must Fall by Queen: “You lead a fairy tale existence/But into every life/A little rain must fall.”
This following song sums up my personality in a few sentences if that gives you any idea what I’m like in real life.
Overwhelmed by Royal & the Serpent: “Nobody gets it/Say I’m too sensitive/I can’t listen ’cause I’m eyeing the exits/This mind isn’t mine/Who am I to judge?/Oh, I should be fine/But it’s all too much.”
